The Oneness of Meaning

October 6, 2019

I’ve been having this one idea present itself in different ways, almost every day, for the past few weeks.

I’ve been reading (skimming) a couple of books – Franciscan priest Richard Rohr, business guru and Patrick Lencioni, and Viktor Frankl’s student Elizabeth Lukas – they all have very similar messages.

We are all in this together.

Even Neil de Grasse Tyson said something similar to Joe Rogan in multiple ways – from the atoms we breathe and drink, to the planet we share and manage.

We are all in this together.

Priest, Consultant, Psychologist, Astrophysicist – all saying the same thing.

We are all in this together.

We are all living to discover why we are living.  We are all beings in search of meaning.

There are many things you can do today to discover meaning in your life.  I am going to offer one.

Step outside yourself, reach out to someone else simply to be a good human being, without desire for reward.  Find a unique way to this each day for a week.  It will help you feel better – just as importantly, you will transcend your self, and make someone else feel better.

We are all in this together.  The more we realize this, the more we act like this, the better this one life becomes.  – Dan
