My Journey into Psilocybin: Integrating a Large Dose of Psychedelic Mushrooms

March 10, 2025
I can still taste the mushrooms mixed with orange juice, and the smell of my tears as I put my hands to my face and wept in gratitude.
Several weeks ago, I voyaged to Eugene, Oregon for my practicum in psilocybin assisted therapy and I ingested the largest legal dose of psilocybin while in the midst of 25+ therapists and healing professionals. It was…. Transformative.  Anxiety inducing.  Beautiful.  It was so many things.  Many of which I tried to cover in this podcast, with the help of my good friend and fellow psychonaut and psychedelic assisted therapist.  This was a really meaningful podcast for me – an opportunity to share my experience, but also to integrate it with another trained professional.
In this conversation, Dr. Dan shares his transformative experience during a psilocybin journey in Oregon, detailing the preparation, intentions, and emotional revelations that unfolded. The dialogue explores themes of shadow work, personal growth, and the emotional legacy passed down through generations, culminating in reflections on the journey’s impact on his life and relationships.
