During this time of year, many cultures, religions, and individuals are celebrating, or anticipating the celebration of, joyful holidays.
It is also a time of year that many people find most stressful, overwhelming, anxious, and possibly even sad, for a variety of reasons.
“We make our own stress.”
I heard that last week from a wise person experiencing some very difficult times. We can choose our stress. Sometimes it takes difficult times in life, maybe even a tragedy, to realize what is truly important.
On the other hand, we can also use times of joy – the holidays – to remind us of what is important in life.
So I leave you with this simple idea for this coming week, and upcoming holidays – choose wisely. Choose the anticipation of a child and the joy of the season. Enjoy this week of preparation and anticipation.
Happy Holidays.
