Whole You: Mapping Wellness Inside & Out

April 21, 2025
I just wrapped up a wonderful week hosting good friend, fellow classmate, and former guest of The Meaning Project podcast, therapist Rob Romano.  We both took some time to slow down our schedules to spend some time talking about our studies with the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and the future of our work with Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy.  My wife, daughter, and even one of her co-workers got to sit on these discussions, when they didn’t become to boring!  It was a great week filled with good discussion and connection.  It reminded me of the importance of slowing down sometimes, and focusing on the components of Wellness – something many of us miss out on during the “weekly grind” to get things done.  It reminded me of the IPI “Treatment Map” shown below.  So I took some time to talk about it in this week’s podcast.  Enjoy!
In this episode of the Meaning Project podcast, Dr. Dan discusses the importance of meaning, purpose, and resilience in mental health. He explores the potential of psychedelic therapies, the role of lifestyle factors in mental well-being, and the significance of spirituality in healing. The conversation also delves into trauma, resilience, and the mind-body connection, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach to mental health.
